Starting this weekend, we’re encouraging members to bring and use masks or other suitable face coverings (scarves, etc) given the dramatic increase in COVID cases. This use is encouraged when you’re around other members, such as in the pits. If you’re the only one there, or you’re away from people, etc, then common sense prevails.
While we’re outside and the risk in our environment is low, the weight of our membership tends to be in the higher-risked age brackets and it’s a small ask to keep our area open and safe. If BC mandates mask use later on this winter, we will follow suit.
We continue to have both hand sanitizer and free gloves available for member use at the field if needed. Keeping our distance when possible, as we’ve been doing, is also encouraged.
